"special words for special people"
I’ve waited nine years for this day to come
And to again say this "I do,"
Though I want to say on our Wedding Day,
"It’s been well worth waiting for you."

We said our vows once not far from this place
And I’ll never forget that sweet day,
But today I will tell you again before friends,
And together we always will stay.

Your elegance, charm, and those beautiful eyes,
Your skin so smooth and so fair;
I love to look at your beautiful face
And touch your golden blonde hair.

You have been there for me in so many ways,
More than I ever could say;
Now I'll always be there for you, Amy dear,
For now and the rest of our days.

In sickness and health you’ve been there for me;
Now it’s my turn to take care of you.
In sickness and health I’ll be there, my Love,
And believe me, it’s long overdue.

I'll do all I can to provide for you now
The things that you never have had.
Not just material things of this world
But the things that will make your heart glad,

Like cooking a meal or washing a dish,
Whatever would make your work lighter,
Or perhaps a back rub or foot massage.
I know those would make your day brighter.

I just want to spend every day of my life
Doing my best to please you.
And know that it always will  come from my heart;
There’s nothing too great for you.

You once wrote a poem and called me your Prince,
So for you I desire nothing less
Than for you to see that there never could be
A true Prince without a Princess.

You are that to me, and so very much more;
I have finally found the best.
I’ll give all I have for you, Princess Amy,
‘Til the day the Lord lays me to rest.

I live every day just to be with you more,
Looking forward to being your spouse.
Working or playing, it’s all really great,
Even building a giant dog house!

Faithful and true I always will be,
A symbol of this gold band.
I will be only yours ‘til death do us part
As I place this ring on your hand.

The pleasures we have may all fade away
But I want you to know, Amy dear,
That the greatest day in my life to this point
Is this day that I’m standing here.

Remember these words that I’ve penned just for you,
Though I know there’s much more I could say.
“I’ll love you forever” is my closing thought
On our beautiful Wedding Day.

I Love You, My Amy,
