Question: After I submit my order, when will it be processed?

Answer: Because of the very personalized nature of this type of gift and because no two poetry gifts are alike, please allow a turnaround time on every order of 2-3 weeks. In most cases orders are shipped much sooner. Rush orders will be shipped within three business days (see below). For additional information concerning shipping, please see our Shipping and Handling Policy.

Question: What if my poetry gift is damaged during shipping?

Answer: Report any damages to us by email or call us toll free at 1.888.MY.POETRY (1.888.697.6387) Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST. We will promptly send a replacement at no charge.

Question: May I order more than one personally designed poetry gift at a time?

Answer: Because of the steps involved in ordering your personalized poetry gift and the detailed nature of each gift, it is necessary to complete the order process and check out after each gift. After completing all steps for purchasing your first gift, you may return to Step 1 and proceed to order a second or more gifts.

Question: Can I get a tracking number for my shipping service?

Answer: Yes and no. We primarily use the U.S. Postal Service for deliveries and all shipping is by standard Priority Mail unless otherwise specified. If you have requested that your order be shipped by Express Mail, Global Express Guaranteed, or Global Express Mail, you may call us toll free at 1.888.MY.POETRY (1.888.697.6387) or contact us to obtain a tracking number. Once you obtain your tracking number, you may log on to http://www.usps.com/shipping/trackandconfirm.htm. There is no tracking number for orders shipped using standard Priority Mail shipping. Question: What if I notice a problem with my poetry gift when I receive it?

Answer: You should open and inspect your poetry gift upon receipt and immediately contact us about any problems. In order to keep down the incidence of problems, your personal poetry will be emailed or faxed to you prior to framing and shipping. However, sometimes things are overlooked on either end and we will be happy to work with you if there is a glaring problem or something that you did not see during the email approval process. Perfection is our goal and your satisfaction is guaranteed. The instance of problems is very low but if there is a problem, we will gladly reprint a corrected poem and send it to you for replacement in your frame.

Question: Are all of your prices in U.S. Dollars?

Answer: Yes, all of the prices on our site are in U.S. Dollars.

Question: Do you ship overseas?

Answer: Yes, we do ship overseas. Of course, as our poems are all in english, we invite you to consider the language and destination as appropriate.

Question: If I begin providing the information requested in Step 2, Design your message in the online poetry information request form but cannot complete it during the Order Process, can I save it and return to finish it at a later time?

Answer: Unfortunately, there is no way to save the form once you leave that screen. You can always attempt to print the form from your computer if you need more time to think about the information you want to include in the form. At a future date we will have available a printer friendly version of the form for you to use to formulate your answers so that when you return to place your order, the process will go more quickly.

Question: What other types of personalized poetry do you offer?

Answer: For those times when only extra special words will do, our personal poetic Wedding Poetry and Vows are a unique and memorable way in which to capture the essence of your wedding and your love for your future spouse. Pay tribute to a departed loved one or friend with our Funeral and Memorial Poetry. For the business, company or organization looking for a new and effective means of advertising, we also offer Advertising Poetry. A new offering to our site is our Scrapbook Poetry, the perfect complement to your scrapbook photos and memories. Links to these additional offerings can also be found throughout our site.

Question: Are you open on holidays?

Answer: Not all holidays. There may be times where we are available on a holiday; however, we do not ship out on the holidays during which United Parcel Service and the U.S. Postal Service are closed. Orders will be shipped on the following business day.

Question: Will anyone be contacting me during the writing of my poetry gift?

Answer: Because of the very personal nature of this type of gift and because the amount of information we have to work with will usually determine the content and length of the finished product, we have provided a highly detailed poetry information request form for every category of poetry. However, if, after we receive your poetry information, we find that more information is still required, we will be contacting you. We will also be contacting you for more information if you have selected your own category. If you would definitely like us to contact you, space for additional directions is provided on the poetry information request form and you may request a phone call on the form.

Question: Can I have my personal poetry gift shipped directly to the recipient?

Answer: Yes. We will be happy to send your gift directly to the recipient as long as you provide us with the recipient's complete shipping address and phone number at the time of checkout via the Paypal button request.

Question: Can I order extra copies of the poem only?

Answer: Yes. Additional copies of the poem printed on your chosen paper are available for $10.00 each plus $5.00 S&H. You may either order the extra copy(ies) at the time you place your initial order (in which case no additional shipping charge is added), or by sending a check or money order payable to Poetry By Design at 4933 S. 3rd Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40214-2205, or calling us with your credit card information at 1.888.MYPOETRY (1.888.697.6387). There is a $5.00 shipping and handling charge if requesting extra copies after your initial order has been shipped. Also, please provide us with a shipping address for the additional copy(ies) if different than your own.

Question: What about rush orders?

Answer: Standard turnaround time on every order is 2-3 weeks. However, rush orders, available for a $25.00 fee, will be processed and shipped within 3 business days of the date of your initial order. You may indicate a rush order in Step 3, Order your poetry at the time of your intial order or by calling us toll free after placing your order at 1.888.MY.POETRY (1.888.697.6387) and providing your credit card information.
